Copyright & Attributions
Last updated: July 16, 2026
© 2026 Zyroo. All rights reserved. This page explains what we own, what belongs to you, which third-party data we build on and how to report an infringement. The short version: the app is ours, your trips are yours, and the public data we use is credited below.
1. Ownership of the app
The Zyroo mobile application and the zyroo.app website — including their source code, physical consumption model, driving-regime segmentation, interface design, icons, illustrations, texts and the “Zyroo” name and logo — are owned by Zyroo and protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the App on your own devices, under our Terms of Use. That license does not transfer ownership of anything.
2. Your content is yours
Your trips, routes, vehicles and refuelings belong to you. We do not claim ownership over them. We only need the technical permission to store and process them in order to give you back what the App is for: your reports, your maps and your statistics. If you delete your account, that permission ends along with the data — see the Privacy Policy.
3. Trademarks
“Zyroo”, the Zyroo logo and our visual identity are trademarks of Zyroo. You may not use them to identify your own products or services, or in a way that suggests we sponsor or endorse you, without written permission.
Apple, the Apple logo, App Store and Apple Maps are trademarks of Apple Inc. Google, Google Play, Android and Google Maps are trademarks of Google LLC. Other names of makes, models and vehicles are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify vehicles descriptively. Zyroo is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any vehicle manufacturer, Apple or Google.
4. Data sources and attributions
Zyroo's vehicle catalog and maps are built on public and third-party data that we credit here, as their licenses require:
| Source | What we use it for |
|---|---|
| U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) / U.S. Department of Energy — fueleconomy.gov | Official consumption and emissions data for US-market vehicles. Public-domain work of the U.S. government. |
| Korea Energy Agency (한국에너지공단) | Consumption and CO₂ data for vehicles sold in South Korea. |
| Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan (国土交通省, MLIT) | Official fuel-economy data for vehicles sold in Japan. |
| © OpenStreetMap contributors | Base map data on which your routes are drawn. Available under the Open Database License (ODbL). |
| © MapTiler | Map tiles and styles served to the App. |
| Google Roads API | Visual snapping of the route to actual roads. It only affects how the map is drawn, never the consumption calculation. |
| Apple Maps / Google Maps | Base maps on the platform's native map views. |
These sources provide reference data. The consumption, cost and CO₂ figures the App shows are Zyroo's own estimates, computed by our model from your GPS trace and your vehicle's profile — they are not published by, nor endorsed by, any of the organizations above.
5. Open-source software
Zyroo is built with open-source components — among others React Native, Expo, MapLibre GL and their dependencies — used under their respective licenses (mainly MIT, Apache 2.0 and BSD). Copyright in each component belongs to its authors. If you would like the full list of components and licenses for a given version, request it at edisson.mata@zyroo.app.
6. What you may not do
- Copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the App or the site, beyond what the law allows without authorization.
- Decompile, reverse engineer or extract the source code or the consumption model.
- Extract, scrape or resell the vehicle catalog or any part of it, whether massively or automatically.
- Use our brand, screenshots or content to build a competing or confusingly similar product.
7. Reporting a copyright infringement
If you believe that content available in Zyroo infringes your copyright, write to edisson.mata@zyroo.app with the subject “Copyright” and include:
- Identification of the protected work you claim has been infringed.
- The exact location (screen, URL or screenshot) of the allegedly infringing material.
- Your contact details: full name, address and email.
- A statement that you hold the rights or are authorized to act on behalf of the holder, and that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized.
- Your signature (electronic is acceptable).
We review every notice and, when it is well founded, remove or disable the affected material. If you believe your content was removed in error, you can reply to the same address to contest it.
8. Press and permissions
You may use the Zyroo name and screenshots of the App to write about it — news, reviews, tutorials — provided you do not alter the logo, do not suggest an association that does not exist and do not use them for advertising purposes. For any other use, ask at edisson.mata@zyroo.app.
